In October 2024, Chris Bey suffered a career-threatening neck injury leaving the former X-Division Champion to deal with temporary paralysis. Since they have since, Bay has made great strides (literally) in his recovery, reaching its peak at the TNA Unbreakable 2025 event.

His tag team partner Ace Austin was on stage, and Bay headed out to thunderous applause in front of a crowd in Paradise, Nevada. Austin helped Bay reach the ring. There, Chris admitted that there was a time when he thought the doctor would never walk again. Defying the odds, Beye was pleased that he lived the story of “the greatest story ever told.”

Fans chanted “ABC!” On the team, emotional bay followed by “You won’t break.” When fans deliver the “We Believe” chant, Bay sees the funny side and tells the fans, “I’m going to wear a shirt right now!” Bey and Austin hugged to end the emotional scene at the TNA event.

It remains to be seen whether Chris Bey is wrestling again, but his determination cannot be denied. The former TNA World Tag Team and X-Division Champion embody the meaning of “unbreakable” as a professional wrestler and as a person.
