Former TNA World Champion leaves the company

The former TNA world champion is a free agent after his contract with the promotion expired.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that Rich Swann’s contract with TNA has concluded. Swann signed a two-year extension in late 2022 and ran until the end of 2024.

Sources indicated that the contract includes additional options years, but TNA did not exercise it. Despite not signing a contract anymore, Swann attended both days on his recent TNA TV tape in Orlando.

Swann’s final appearance in TNA programming was in the summer of 2024, after which he voluntarily joined a substance abuse rehabilitation program after a public addiction arrest. He returned to in-ring action for a pro wrestling revolver in October 2024 and has since worked on several independent shows.
