Former tag team star Kyle Fletcher became himself under the leadership of Don Charis. In a new interview with “Good Karma Wrestling,” Fletcher explained that Karis was the catalyst for all the villain decisions made over the last year or so.
“Don was one of my biggest supporters these days… it’s hard to pinpoint one thing [I’ve learned from him]. Perhaps the biggest impact he had is that I am the bad guy,” Fletcher said.
Karis is not the only family of Don Karis, who Fletcher has built a trusting relationship with.
“My husband Takeshita… he’s only one beautiful. A really lovely c***. I’m kidding. He’s the guy who enjoys watching me the most in the ring,” Fletcher laughed. The former ROH World Tag Team Champion appreciates the way Takeshita treats wrestling like a real sport. “He throws his forearm, I think he killed someone… and I think that’s something that’s missing from wrestling today.”
Fletcher and Takeshita are currently competing in the AEW Men’s Owen Hart Cup. If the winning method continues, fans will be able to watch the tournament’s 2025 edition of the Alldon Charis Family Finale. The winner receives a shot at AEW World Champion Jon Moxley: Texas.
