AEW Collision Results (4/17/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show begins with Tony Ciaborne and Nigel McGuinness welcoming us from the state area. Schiavone and McGuinness then summarized last night’s Dynamite. This was the 289th episode to pass WCW Nitro as Turner Networks’ longest-running professional wrestling show.

They then ran through the collision lineup before Schiavone and McGuinness were interrupted. Marina Shafir takes the woman onto the stage and sends her to the floor. Shafir then enters the ring and takes the microphone from the ring announcer Arcadiola. AEW world champion John Moxley then joins Shafir in the ring, and Claudio Castagnoli defeats the cameraman and breaks the camera. Wheeler Yuta throws fans, chairs and chins at ringside. The crowd then chants “You tapped out” in Moxley. He takes the microphone and says that everyone who celebrated last night should enjoy it. Moxley then decides he doesn’t like the younger Bucks and tells him to stay in his lane or to make sure they’re never seen in business again.

Later, Moxley says when he started this business, there was only one bad guy in professional wrestling, and that person was Samoa Joe. Moxley says he’s always been respectful of Joe, and fans say Joe is trying to kill you. Moxley then says he doesn’t hide him for the championship tomorrow, fight him and doesn’t know any other way. Moxley says he’s trying Joe. Moxley says that it’s all he has to say, as he knows exactly what he’s dealing with. Moxley then drops the microphone and leaves the crowd with the rest of the crew. As Death Rider leaves, Utah throws more equipment at ringside.

Schiavone and McGuinness then run through the lineup for tonight’s show, while Kevin Knight advances into the ring for the first match of the night. Lance Archer then goes to the ring with Don Karis and immediately attacks the Knight and sends him out to the ramp.

Single Match: Don Carris’ “Murder Hawk Monster” Lance Archer vs. “Jet” Kevin Knight

The match begins with Archer slamming the Knight’s head against one of the big screens on the stage. Archer then throws the knight into the rampway. Archer then picks up Knight, but Knight kicks the shooter to the head with a shotgun dropkick from the top rope. The Knight then jumps over the rope and defeats Archer. Knight then falls out of the top when Archer catches him, but Knight sends him to the corner and nails him with his chin and mid-center. Archer then heals the Knight and sends it along with a large Lariat. Archer then places a great right to the Knight when he is on the mat. Archer then slams the knight in the back. The Knight then runs the ropes and sends Archer down, then hits his big running elbow and sends Archer down to the floor. Knight then goes to the top, but Charis grabs her by the foot. Archer then grabs the knight, pulls him out of the ring, sending his head first down the steel stairs.

Archer controls him with the ring and sends the knight down. Archer then slaps the Knight. Knight tries to fight back with his big forearm. Archer then returns, smacks the Knight and sends him onto his back. Knight then rolls Archer, but Archer kicks him out. Archer then picks up the knight and tries hard to get him on the mat. Archer then picks up the knight and places him on the top rope. Archer then picks up the knight. Knight then runs in the Archer, meets with big boots on his chest, and bumps into the mat.

Knight sends Archer to the mat, and both men are on the second rope. Knight then hits Archer with a UFO. Knight then covers Archer with only two counts. Archer then picks up the knight and drops him with a huge chokeslam. Archer then covers Knight, but Knight kicks out with 2 when fans cast Kevin. Archer is on the ropes when the knight drives him away and sends him to the floor. The Knight then jumps over the rope and hits the Archer with a flying Lariat! Archer returns to the ring as the knight leaves the top rope again and lands on Archer for victory.

Singles winner, “Jet” Kevin Knight!

Then you’ll get video footage from the new AEW World Trios dynamite. Joe says they are men who commit violence. Joe says they are the trio champions of the AEW world and they are coming for more.

Next, I narrated the brief for aew in for All: Texas.

Lenny Puckett will then interview Jamie Hater and Chris Statilander about their first meeting in the Owen Hart Foundation women’s tournament semi-finals at Dynamite. Hater says that just as Statlander knows he’s good. After that, Statlander says it took a long time, and the winners go much better.

We then see Tony Ciaborne standing behind the desk reading a letter from FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) that the live crowd can hear. The letter apologises, claiming that a week’s suspension was not enough and did not pass along with Siabone’s Piled River. They also apologise for what happened at McGuinness, adding that he has a fragile mind and body.

After that, you’ll get video footage from Don Charis’ dynamite afterwards. He says he is very happy to have Josh Alexander in his family, but the other members seem to get over it and be happy with the move. Josh Alexander and Konosuke the Takeshita head into the ring for the next night’s match, followed by Ishii and Rocky Romero.

Tag Team Match: Don Karis (“Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita and “Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander) vs. Conglomeration (“The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii and Rocky “Azucar” Romero

The match begins with both the ishii and Takeshita bumping into each other with big forearm shots. Ishii then picks up Takeshita, but Takeshita fights it. Ishii defeats Takeshita and defeats Takeshita with a big shoulder tackle that defeats Ishii, and both men also run the ropes. Alexander and Romero were tagged. Alexander sends Romero down. Alexander then sends Romero to the ropes, but Romero sends Alexander back. Romero is then charged with Alexander, but Alexander’s duck and Romero land on an apron, but is nailed by Takeshita.

Takeshita then suppresses Romero. Alexander and Ishii were tagged. Ishii then sends Alexander to his head and covers him with just two counts. Ishii nails Takeshita. Ackeshita kicks Ishii and sends him with a big Lariat. After that, Romero comes and sends Alexander. Ishii then attacks a big lariat with Alexander. Alexander then picks up the ishii, slams him, covering him with just two counts. Alexander applies ankle lock to the ishii. Romero then breaks the hold off the rope with a large cross.

Alexander is currently glued to Romero with an elbow shot, but Alexander is back. Ishii then accidentally attacks Romero when Alexander suppresses Ishii, but he returns with a big head in Alexander’s chin as both men go down. Romero then travels the ishii in the ring as Alexander Germany suppresses the ishii. Both Taketa and Alexander nail Ishii as Alexander picks up Ishii and covers him for victory.

Tag team winners: Don Karis family (“Alpha” and Takeshita and “Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander)!

After the match, fans scream Rocky and boo him. Ishii pushes him. Rocky then attacks the ishii from behind. The hooded figure will then be displayed on the ring and its torrent beretta. Romero then attacks the ishii from behind. Charis, Takechita and Alexander return to the ring. Charis hands him a torrent wrench and he nails Ishii to the back of his head. Charis then lifts up Beretta and Romero’s arms.

After that, we head backwards. There, Lexi Nia talks about her victory over Mercedes Monet and Athena, but she is interrupted by Harley Cameron and Mercedes puppets. Monet then tells Cameron not to get in the way and stop being such a loser.

You will then get an ad for AEW Double or Nothing, which will be held on Sunday, May 25th.

Megan Bane then heads towards the ring for the next match of the night, and her opponent is already in the ring.

2-on-1 handicap match: “Megasus” Megan Bain Vs Rebecca Scott and Ashley Box

The match begins with Bayne suppressing both women at the same time. Bane then picks up Ashley Vox and gets a Powerbomb three times. Bein then defeats other opponents with a large clothesline. Bane then picks up one of the women and slaps her for victory.

The winner of Megan Beneu, a 2-on-1 handicap match “Megasus”!

After the match, Bane picks up both women, screams and slams them into the ring.

Then get a video vignette to Anthony Bowens. Bowens talks about the perfect combination of power, athleticism and intelligence. Bowens says he has a look and IT factor. Bowens then says he is led by badass. Bowens then asks who are ready to step up to head towards the five tool players.

Adam Cole then goes to the ring for the next match of the night, with Claudio Castagnoli’s music hit. After that, you will go to the concession area, show your claudio on the stairs, and walk through the crowd to the ring. Claudio then throws Nigel McGuinness’s chair and slaps him on the knee.

AEW TNT Championship Match: Paragon’s Adam Cole (c) vs Death Rider Claudio Castagnoli

The match begins when Cole takes it to Claudio. Cole then returns and sends Claudio with a neckbreaker, covering him with just one count. Cole then hits Claudio with a big punch. Cole then sends Claudio with a big knee. Claudio then rolls onto the floor. Claudio then walks and grabs Cole’s foot and drags him to the floor. Claudio then accuses him with Cole, but Cole moves out of the way.

Both men then change forearms near the announcement desk. Claudio then picks up Cole and returns him to the barricade first. Claudio then hits the ring and breaks the 10th count. Claudio then returns to pick up Cole and throws him into the crowd on the barricade. The referee then checks the call. The call returns to the ring. Claudio then only covers Call for two counts. Claudio then sends Cole back to the floor.

Cole then backslides Claudio for a PIN attempt, but Claudio kicks out at 2. Cole then returns and sends Claudio in big boots. After that, when the judge begins counting 10, both men will descend. Both men are standing up as Cole defeats Claudio with the backstabber. Cole then covers Claudio, who kicks out at 2am. Cole then goes to the rope in the middle and descends for the sunrise in Panama, but Claudio sends the counter and Cole along with a massive lariat. Cole then hits Claudio with a thrust kick, picks him up and attacks him with a big neck breaker. Cole then only covers Claudio for two counts. Claudio then attacks Cole with a huge swing. Claudio applies a crossface to Call, and Call rolls up Claudio with two counts.

Claudio is up on the top rope and comes down just to meet big boots. Cole then only covers Claudio for two counts. Cole then goes to the boom, but Claudio stops it and picks up Cole, nailing him with a big uppercut. Claudio then covers Cole, but Cole is kicked out at two. Claudio then nails Cole with his big elbow. The call comes when Claudio brings Cole back into the corner. The referee then tells Claudio to back up, but Claudio nails Cole again in the corner with a few jabs. Claudio then picks up Cole and superplexes him. Claudio then goes to pick up Cole, but Cole wins him on the cross and rolls up.

Winner of Open Challenge Match and still AEW TNT champion, Paragon’s Adam Cole!

After the match, Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly went out to celebrate with Cole. Claudio is mad, he goes and destroys the Announcement Desk. Moxley and Utah come out and try to calm Claudio down. Marina Shafir then chants the loser of Claudio. The Death Rider then leaves the crowd.

Then, get a summary of the learning tree segments from dynamite two weeks ago. Lexy Nair is behind the scenes with Big Bill and Bryan Keith. Bill says he’s mad. Keith then interrupts Bill and says that it’s not now, and the story they had was private. Keith then says he should treat things like family internally. Keith then denounced Bill and Chris Jericho left. Bill says the strategy to move forward is the same.

La Facción Ingobernable will advance towards the ring for the next night’s match, and their opponents are already in the ring.

Trio Match: Uncontrollable factions (“The White Toro” Rush, Dralisti, Beast Mortus) vs. LSG, KM, Rosaryo Grillo

The match begins with action throughout the location outside the ring. Mortus then picks up the LSG and drops him, and KM is in. Dralistic kicks him in the head. Rush nails all three men with their forearms running. After that, Dralistico goes to the floor with LSG. In the ring, Rush nails km with his big forearms and covers him for victory.

He then heads behind Lenny Puckett, who is having a conversation with Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey. Ricochette then comes in and complains about Bailey and Knight stealing $400,000 from him. Bailey says his team defeated Ricochet’s Team Fair and Square. Ricochet says he will give advice from the veteran. Ricochette then instructs them not to confuse the talent of the top or the chain of command. Knight says there are things that Ricochet can’t do. The knight shook his hair. After that, Ricochet gets upset. Knight then acts like he was going to slap Ricochet, shaking him. The Knight is happy to fight, but Bailey says they’ll go, but that’s not the case today. Pucket then throws his hair and leaves.

Nick Wayne then heads towards the ring for the next night’s match, followed by the commander.

Roh World TV Championship Match: Commander (c) vs. Patriarchal Nick Wayne

The match begins with Wayne slap the Commander as he returns with a big dropkick. The commander then kicks Wayne in the middle. The commander is on the rope and he lowers Wayne. The Commander then kicks Wayne and sends him back. The commander then goes to the top and hits Wayne with a big crossbody and a dropkick. Wayne then goes outside and sends the commander to the mat. Wayne then sends the commander to the corner and slaps the commander. As the commander goes to the top, Wayne pushes him to the floor.

Wayne then rolls up the commander for two counts. The commander then returns with a spinning backbreaker to Wayne. Cormander sends him to Lampway and Wayne is on the ropes. The commander jumps over the rope as Wayne moves. The commander then returns to the ring and nails Wayne. The commander then covers Wayne with just two counts. Commander picks up Wayne when he sees Nick’s mom. Wayne then sends the commander to the turnbuckle pad.

The commander then sends Wayne to his head first. The commander then covers Wayne with just two counts. When Wayne catches the Commander with a driving suppression, the Commander jumps over the rope. Wayne then only covers the Commander for two counts. The commander then returns and sends Wayne to the floor. The commander then goes up onto the rope and flips Wayne backwards. Wayne is back in the ring. When Wayne lifts his boots, the commander falls off the top. Wayne then picks up the commander for the Prockyplex and covers the commander for victory.

It then ends with a hologram video package and stating that he will be back next week.

Next, head backwards with Top Flight and Leila Gray cutting the promotion. Top Flight then talks to Tony Kahn and says he will face Rio Rush and Action Andretti in a tornado tag match. Rush and Andretti appear on top flights and raise their chins, but security quickly reaches between the two teams.

AEW Women’s World Champion “timeless” Tonistorm moves towards the ring for the evening’s main event and joins the commentary desk. Kris Statlander and Julia Hart head to the main event ring, followed by Mercedes Moné and Harley Cameron.

Tag Team Match (AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm on Commentary): AEW TBS Champion “The CEO” Mercedes Monet and Harley Cameron vs. Hound of Hells Julia Hart and Chris Stander

The match begins with Statlander and Moné. Chris throws Monet and Monet tags with Cameron. Harley then tag Monet’s doll and is tossed away. Statlander then rolls up Cameron for two counts. Harley then sends a statlander to the corner. Harley then rolls up Statlander again for two counts. Statlander will then tag you with Julia Hart. Heart rises to the second rope and descends to Cameron. Hart then sends Cameron back with a big lariat. Hart then covers Harley with two counts. Cameron then makes it for a tag to Monet that comes only to slap the head on the mat of hearts. Statlander will then be tagged. Statlander sends Monet to the floor with a follow-away slam. All four women fight it on the floor.

The action is back in the ring. Moné at Statlander and Suplexes Statlander will be charged three times. Cameron then begins Statlander suppressing both women three times. The heart will then be tagged. Heart falls off of Cameron’s top, Monet picks up Hart and hangs upside down on the rope. Cameron then comes and drops his heart down with a blue lightning bomb. Hart then went to Leg Trip Monet.

Hart then goes to the top and becomes Moonsaw when Monet wins the boots. Both women are down as the judge begins the 10 count. Statlander joins and picks up a Moné on his shoulder. Statlander washes Moné. Statlander then picks up Cameron and bumps into her with a backbreaker, nailing her with a twisted Lariat, covering her for victory.

Tag Team winners, Hounds of Hell’s Julia Hart, Kris Statlander!

After the match, Storm stands on his apron and praises Statlander. Storm then blows the kiss away with a Statlander, and falls from the apron to Luther’s arm as Shaw approaches.
