AEW has seen many changes in roster overhauls throughout the first few months of 2025.
The likes of Lucha Brothers, Ricky Starks, Miro and Malakai Black all left the company, but the promotion also featured stars such as Megan Bayne, Speedball Mike Bailey, Kevin “The Jet” Knight and Josh Alexander.
Looking at the free agency market, there are a few stars that could help strengthen the ever-growing roster and bring something different to programming.
Here are eight new potential AEW signatures.
8. Cushida
At the end of March, AEW CEO and President Tony Khan announced that NJPW star Kevin Knight has signed a contract with all elite wrestling.
Having signed a double contract with both AEW and NJPW, Knight was able to perform weekly in the company’s programming before the best Super Junior Tournament with New Japan ahead of his next tour.
Knight’s tag team partner Kushida also has a per-appearance deal with New Panpro Wrestling.
Kushida is a six-time IWGP JR heavyweight champion and one of the most decorated junior heavyweight wrestlers in the company’s history, so adding him to the AEW roster will help in multiple ways, including bringing the intergalactic jet setter into the tag team division.

7. Donovan students
Donobandy Jack, who left WWE at the end of his June 2024 contract, is in tears beyond his independent scene and MLW.
Dijak has reestablished himself as a consistently reliable in-ring performer who can play any role on and on the top and bottom of the card.
The former WWE star, who signed with all elite wrestling, fitted very well into the company’s current talent harvest.
Whether they’re clashing with something like Powerhouse Hobbs or facing a top star like Will Ospreay, Dijak feels like he can quickly become a standout on the AEW roster.
