Although not necessarily, WrestleMania is usually trying to win one of the many world championships above the WWE Pyramid, which involves one of the participants facing many obstacles. That makes sense. After all, everyone loves losers and when they have to overcome the insurmountable odds to achieve their goals, they love it. And WWE has had a huge impact over the years, whether it was Hogan, who overcame Andre and Shawn Michaels overcame Bret Hart, overcoming more than 60 minutes of tough actions and Steve Austin overcoming Vince McMahon. Of course, all the similarities between these victories were that while Hogan, Michaels and Austin had overcome, there was also a great sense that they were chosen, and they were pleased that the promotion had tied the rockets to them.
But when Daniel Bryan had one of the greatest, pleasant moments in wrestling history, it wasn’t entirely. As in the example above, Brian had to overcome that possibility. Unlike them, the decks were stacked further. Hogan may have had to conquer Andre, but Andre was three men’s size, but he was still one man. Michaels may have had to wrestled for 60 minutes, but he had to wrestled once. Brian? He wrestled twice, first defeating the show to open the show, winning the world title later on in the show, wrestling champion Randy Orton and fellow challenger Batista. Ah, he did it all, but Triple H and Stephanie McMahon played their own version of Vince McMahon to Brian’s Austin and did everything they could to stop him.

To be clear, all these storyline obstacles were still quite sweet when Brian won and raised two world titles when he chanted “Yes!”. It has about 70,000 fans. But it was definitely made even sweeter by the fact that Brian faced many, if not more, obstacles to reach this moment. As the years went by, fans got a glimpse into the back of the curtains about the WrestleMania XXX. And the big evident is that Brian is not the one who stands tall at the end of WrestleMania. In fact, his quest for a world title was supposed to be a conclusion in the fall, and he returned him to the upper midcard as he couldn’t beat Orton because of the world title.
Just like with the Royal Rumble, everything seemed to be still a plan as Brian lost to Wyatt, and as Batista won, it led to a big fan backlash. Today, the backlash, coupled with a CM Punk strike after a day, will ultimately lead to a WWE switching course, giving Brian the first of two major title wins at a massive stadium show. Regardless of the reason, Brian’s actual road to WrestleMania mirrors his Cayfabe, and in contrast to things like Hogan, Michaels and Austin, he committed his victory in “The Immortal Showcase.”
