AEW President Tony Kahn is working on Brian Danielson’s position in the continuous absence of company programming.

Brian Danielson’s status in AEW, who last competed with AEW Wrestledream in his final match as a full-time wrestler in October, has been the subject of much speculation, as fans wonder if they’ll see American dragons compete again.

Speaking midway through the Blade Podcast, Tony Khan spoke to Danielson’s current status, and at the same time told the importance of the veteran behind the scenes and in the ring.

“I’m still working with Brian Danielson. He’s still a large part of my office. He’s not on the show and he may have retired forever, but he didn’t say he did it forever.

“I talk to Brian almost every day. He has a great heart for wrestling. He is the person I am truly happy to be blessed and has been involved with.

Danielson recently said he was 50-50 on whether he would compete again in the wrestling ring. His hope is to avoid having neck surgery.

As information becomes available, we will provide you with the latest updates on Danielson’s potential return to AEW TV.
