Something inconceived happened on WrestleMania 41st Sunday when John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes to become the new, uncontroversial WWE champion. This is because Travis Scott was involved, but now it appears that Scott was blown up after Scott injured Rhodes earlier, because Cody Rhodes didn’t actually attack him.
Before WrestleMania 41, Travis Scott’s last appearance on WWE TV was in Elimination Chamber, where he slammed Cody Rhodes in his head, leaving behind black eyes and bust eardrums. Rhodes later revenges by hitting Scott with Rhodes Cross at WrestleMania 41, but that was all he did.
While talking about Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray expressed his frustration that Rhodes didn’t hit Scott as Real. Bully Ray criticized Scott for not getting a receipt from an American nightmare.
Ray also said he wanted a different outcome for the match, suggesting that if Locke came out and attacked Cody Rhodes, it would make more sense for John Cena to win the 17th world title. Instead, the bully says he’s not satisfied with Scott’s involvement, disrupt his role and hurts the story by not giving Cody Rhodes the right revenge.
“Travis Scott’s Pankas was too Pankas, but too viral to get a receipt. It was no problem if Cody Rhodes was planning on winning that match last night. Travis Scott kept it from being inserted into the receipt and knew that Cena had won, or that Smack would not be taken away.
Ultimately, what Cody Rhodes did was take Travis Scott out on Crossroads, but it was enough distraction to win the match against John Cena. With Scott likely to appear more on WWE TV in the future, we need to see if Rhodes will ultimately give Scott a proper receipt.
