The April 23rd episode of AEW Dynamite took place at UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana. AEW fans filled the venue as the company continued programming weekly.
For weeks, MJF has hinted that he will likely be joining Hurt Syndicate. That storyline continued during this episode, adding another layer to the ongoing story.
As the second hour of dynamite began, a wounded syndicate came out. They gave a brief introduction before MJF appeared.
MJF raised the way he had several women for the faction last week. The MVP then asked for another vote from Stable, which received two UPVotes from the MVP and Shelton Benjamin.
Shelton reveals that he didn’t give a thumbs up to MJF due to the fact that he gave him a watch and a woman for the night. He said the only reason he said yes was the MVP’s fault.
At that point, only Bobby Lashley was left. The All Mighty lifted his thumb, and as he was trying to judge, MJF tried another opportunity to speak himself. He also said that if Lashley votes for him he will give him a car. All the fans were behind MJF joining the faction.
Bobby Lashley then took the MJF car, but he still put his thumb down on him. That wasn’t the outcome that MJF wanted, to say the least.
