Aee Star officially joins faction following the championship victory

The AEW Star officially joined the faction after closing out last week’s episode of Dynamite after a championship victory.

The main event of last week’s AEW Dynamite Spring Breakthrough Show saw a title change took place when Death Rider lost the AEW World Trios Championship to OPPS.

The match was originally scheduled to feature Samoa Joe, Katsuyorishibata and Hook, but Hook was not medically cleared in the match after being injured during the main event last week.

Instead, Powerhouse Hobbs was buried for him, and he, Joe and Shibuya became the new trio champions after Samoa Joe suffocated AEW world champion John Moxley.

The trio was named individually after winning the title, leading to speculation as to whether Hobbs was officially recognized as a member of OPPS, but they got the answers at tonight’s Dynamite Show.

To start the show, the legendary hip hop master P came to the ring. There he introduced three men as OPPS. The graphics simply refer to the group as OPPS, implying that Hobbs is currently an official member of the group.
