I thought a lot of people were talking about the rocks coming out of WrestleMania 41, but no one could imagine revolving around him and Dave Lagreka. But that happened after the “bust open radio” host’s rumours about Rock’s lack of involvement at Wrestlemania on Monday morning. It won more when Rock responded to another Ragreka’s rant on Instagram on Thursday, encouraging him to “stop the rumours and enjoy the show” while telling Ragreka that wrestling is a work.
Shortly afterwards, Ragreka responded to Rock with the “Busted Open” in a statement that she felt compelled to post the radio show to X as well.
“I love wrestling,” Ragreka said. “I love wrestling because it’s different from all forms of entertainment and sports. I’m passionate about it, because it’s not like, ‘Oh, that’s true to me.’ It puts your body in the line when you wrestling your body. I’m not the real thing.
Lagureka says he is disappointed with the rock
Lagreka explained that his rant about WrestleMania came from a passion for wrestling, not from a place of hatred, but from his passion for wrestling, and compared it to his favorite sports teams, the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees, when they lost. He further questioned what someone in business like Rock was, pointing out that wrestling was a fake, hinting that in doing so he took away some of the magic that Pro Wrestling has to offer.
Ultimately, Lagreka appeared to have come to a similar conclusion about Rock’s statement over Rock’s absence and the conclusions of Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena. Disappointment.
“I respect Dwayne Johnson with all respect and all respect. I’m grateful for what you did for me and this business,” Lagreka said. “But what you put in that reaction was, I thought I was wrong, and it hurt me. It’s actually… I’m not mad about it, I’m actually hurting the reaction and being disappointed.”
