AAA talent was ordered to learn English after WWE’s acquisition

WWE made many headlines by officially acquiring Mexico’s Lucha Libre Promotion AAA over WrestleMania 41 weekend, and such acquisitions are expected to result in some changes. In fact, AAA talent appears to be told to learn English following the acquisition of WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AAA leadership told the roster that they need to start learning English and start working more in the American wrestling style. This change could be aimed at helping to showcase talent to a wider international audience, particularly in the US market.

This is backed up by the Latin lover of AAA Talent Director. Latin enthusiasts told Infobae in a recent interview that AAA wrestlers need to learn English because they are extremely important for the future. He explained that it’s not only good in the ring, having a strong body, eating right, or wearing good-looking clothes, but also learning English is a big part of success.

The lover said many wrestlers from other places like the AAA and the World Wrestling Council have the opportunity to work in large corporations, but did not take those opportunities because they didn’t know English. He said speaking in places like WWE is a big part of wrestling, whether it be interviews, behind-the-scenes scenes, telling stories, and more. Knowing English also helps wrestlers speak clearly with their bosses and representatives.

“So, aside from preparing for wrestling, preparing with a good physique, striving in the gym, taking care of your meals, preparing with a good, beautiful and elegant wrestling team, you need to learn English. Talk, tell the story in the microphone on assignments that take place behind the scenes, in rings, outside the ring, or simply maintain good communication with your immediate boss or WWE owner.”

WWE also announced that the contract has been signed in collaboration with Mexican sports and entertainment company Fillip. If everything goes as planned, you will need to finalize your transaction by the third quarter of 2025 after completing all normal legal and business procedures.
