After a drama-filled weekend action in Las Vegas at WrestleMania 41, WWE is looking forward to the 2025 backlash from St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, May 10th.
This premium live event should set the tone for the rest of the year as it appears that the company is about to continue the success of WrestleMania, the most profitable WrestleMania of all time.
From returns to major storylines moving, Backlash offers many different twists and turns that will further change the landscape of WWE.
Below are six potential surprises at WWE Backlash 2025:
6. Bailey returns to Target Becky Lynch
Prior to WrestleMania 41 Night One, Bayley was attacked behind the scenes, forcing him to miss the second night of the event.
Instead, Becky Lynch returned to the team with Lyla Valkyria to beat Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
However, Lynch and Valkyria’s title runs lasted only one day. This causes Becky to turn on Lila and attack her in a postmatch.
After this attack after their loss, it is safe to assume that Bailey may have been drawn out by Becky in the first place.
