Imagine a world where the ultimate “banned door” is open. It is a world where WWE and AEW come together to share talent.
It’s probably a utopian dream, but think about the incredible possibilities of tag team combinations.
Some reunite wrestlers in shared history, while others create dream teams.
Here are five crossover tag teams we can expect to see.
5. Marina Shafir and Shayna Baszler
Marina Shafir of Aew and Shayna Baszler of WWE shared a long history, first appearing on the UFC reality show The Ultimate Fighter where they formed “Four Horswomen.”
Both later signed with NXT, but Shafir was eventually released while Baszler rose to the success of the main roster.
Currently, Shafir, with his improved style in the ring and a reinvented persona, is involved in AEW’s top storyline, but Baszler can benefit from much-needed pushes in WWE.
At this stage of their careers, reuniting the two in a joint MMA-influenced attack would create an interesting and impactful team.
