Aleister Black officially made his return to WWE tonight, April 25th, in Fort Worth, Texas.
For the past few weeks, the “mysterious” vignette has been airing on SmackDown, ultimately pointing to the date of April 25th.
After Black, who used the name Malakai Black in AEW, was released by promotion in February, it was clear that the vignette was leading to his WWE return.
Black was released by WWE in 2021 before joining AEW.
Tonight he made a comeback to WWE and cut off in-ring promotions from MIZ.
Miz complained about his lack of involvement at WrestleMania this year before Black theme music played and made an entrance.
Theme Music is a slightly remixed version of NXT’s Black’s popular original theme several years ago.
He briefly used another theme created by Def Rebel in 2021 before its release, but this time he used a remix of the NXT theme originally by CFO $.
Black joined Miz in the ring and laid out him with a black chunk.
It has also been confirmed that he has returned to the name Aleister Black rather than Malacay.
Black is a former NXT champion, but did not win the main roster title in his previous run in WWE.
In similar news, Rusev returned to WWE Raw this Monday after being released by AEW on the same day as Black in February.
