Carmelo Hayes shared his honest thoughts about his first year on the WWE main roster and opened on the anniversary of his official debut.

Hayes’ start on Smackdown is extremely promising, with the former NXT champion revealed to be the Blue Brand’s first male draft pick in the WWE Draft on April 26, 2024.

With Hayes facing then WWE champion Cody Rhodes in the main event of the show, many fans predicted he would have Championship Gold or at least have a consistent spot in the main event scene.

This was hardly the case, but Carmelo Hayes says he is still making his first year on WWE’s main roster.

Noting that he “killed S**T” this year and hasn’t started cooking yet, Hayes said Twitter Note:

No matter what this year’s predictions were made, they never measured success in championships or winning matches.

When I got the ball it was the first down or touchdown. We stole the show and played banger matches with everyone.

Traveling the world, I polished my craft to the best. He wrestled over 10 times as a WWE champion and worked and learned from legendary and future Hall of Fame.

I win in every way possible. I killed S**t this year and was first drafted for reasons. You cannot deny anything that is not denied. I haven’t started cooking yet. #happy1year #marathon🏁🎯

The biggest highlight on Calmelo Hayes’ main roster came on the SmackDown episode on April 18th.
