Owens’ narration comes at a troubling time in his Canadian career. Due to a neck injury, Owens’ match at WrestleMania with Randy Orton was knicks, with TNA world champion Joe Hendry facing Viper instead. Owens’ injuries have been reported to keep him out of action for the remainder of 2025, and questions were raised in 2026 at WrestleMania 42 as to whether he would return to time.
Owens won’t compete anytime soon, but his narration helped bring the Montreal Canadiens to the Cardinals. It is still unclear what awards the non-WWE role awaits through his long path to recovery.
