Dickey Arena in Fort Worth, Texas was ready for a big show as WWE brought the April 25 episode of SmackDown to the venue. After the WrestleMania Fallout, there was much left to take care of. The tag team title also included a big match.
On the April 25 episode of WWE Smackdown, The Street Profits defended the WWE Tag Team Championship in a TLC match. Their challengers were DIY and Motor City Machine Guns, and all three teams wanted to send a message.
The match concluded the show, and fans got all the action. The final time of this week’s show was commercial free. Naturally, all three teams brought it to this match in a big way.
There were many high spots and many weapons were used. Montes Ford scored three dives throughout the early part of the match, with the third dive passing through the table at Tommaso Ciampa.
This was a brutal war. Because everyone is fighting because no one even tried to climb the ladder towards the title. There were a ton of brutal spots, including Champa, which landed white noise on a ladder that was bridged from Angelo Dawkins’ ringside. It wasn’t enough to solve things as the Motor City machine gun stopped Gargano from climbing. MCMG then slaps the skull and bones through Gargano’s table at ringside.
The Tommaso Ciampa mostly had a belt, but the Motor City machine gun pulled away the ladder. Champa hangs and they hit him with a human piñata-like chair until Dawkins nailed his spears through the table. This was a brutal place.
In the end, Chris Sabin and Johnny Gargano were fighting on the ladder. Montes Ford stayed on the ladder, but he climbed to defeat both challengers. Afterwards, Ford grabbed the title he held.
You’ll need to see how you’ll be toping this big main event match in Fort Worth, Texas. Obviously, we’ve left everything on the table this time as the WWE Universe recovered from the historic WrestleMania 41 event.
