In a recent edition of the “Rewind, Recap, Releve” podcast, Joe Hendry recalled a behind-the-scenes moment with Triple H at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View event. He said,
“On that occasion, I was ready to go. They said, ‘We’ll give you a signal.’ And I saw Triple H walking around me and we took a picture.
TNA world champion Hendry took part in the match at No. 15 and became the first active TNA talent to participate in the Royal Rumble match.
Despite loud applause, Hendry was quickly eliminated by the #16 participant, Rome’s rule. Hendry did not rule out anyone in the match.
Hendry has appeared on WWE several times. This included challenges at the NXT World Championships in late 2024, but did not win any gold.
It has been reported that WWE has expressed interest in more detail with Hendry and could sign him when the TNA deal expires.
