Latest updates for AEW Star Darby Allin’s Mt. Everest Summit

It took a year, but Aew Star Darby Allin’s dream of climbing Mount Everest has finally come to life. The former TNT champion arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal with his mother and siblings in early April and began trekking to base camp on Mount Everest a few days later. The April 17 update reveals that Allin and his team are making steady progress, and team members of the adventure consultant are noting that Allin is doing very well.

Currently, recent updates suggest that progress is continuing. It was later revealed in a post that was removed from the Adventure Consultant’s website that Allin’s team had arrived at Everest Mount Base Camp on April 20th. The expedition commander Andruzie Sherpa revealed that the trekking Everest itself began soon, and that the first group had joined Puja. It is unknown when the group will climb.

So far, progress has been fast for Allin, but this is just the beginning of a journey that he had hoped would take a while, and Dave Meltzer realized a few weeks ago that he could take up to two months to an experienced climber. Given Allin’s lack of experience in this field, this suggests that even with the experienced expedition leaders who took charge of his group, it would take even longer to climb. Also, it is still unclear whether Allin will be able to complete the trekking as a third of climbers attempting to conquer Everest fails and they will return.
