Tommy Dreamer details why the WWE fandom is now “strange”

There’s already been a lot to be said about WrestleMania 41, especially the controversial main event between John Cena and Cody Rhodes. And one thing people keep pointing out is the reaction that both men have received, with babyface Rhodes suddenly booed.

On Wednesday’s “Busted Open Radio,” Tommy Dreamer discussed where WWE is going from here and explained why the WWE fandom is suddenly in a strange place.

“At the end of the day, I’ll restart and do a reset,” Dreamer said. “WrestleMania is over. We’re moving forward now. We’re moving forward. We don’t know where they’ll go to the next WrestleMania. But now I’m like, ‘Hey, John Cena. We’re cheering for you.’ “I’ve been saying that for so long, for so long, because I was able to have sex with your mother and girlfriend.

Dreamer now finds things so strange that he cheers when WWE tries to turn the course back and turn the Rhode Sheels.

“When Cody appears… wearing dark hair, mustache and stardust clothes, he says, ‘I sold my soul to the rocks.’ “If he appears three months from now, people will say, ‘Oh, this is unique!’ And one person will scream, and it will be you [Dave LaGreca]. ”
