The Hall of Fame has revealed that he wants to sign AEW recently to join WWE, describing the star as “one of the best.”
Former TNA World Champion Josh Alexander signed with AEW in April 2025 and made his debut with the Owen Hart Cup.
WWE Hall of Famer JBL shared his thoughts on his recent signature in a recent episode of WWE Hall of Famer JBL.
JBL, who describes Alexander as a “freak ring general,” also considered speedball Mike Bailey’s skills and signed AEW, saying:
“I was blown away by Josh. Everything he did. I saw that the people he worked with were just holding them, he was making a move.
“He’s a funny general Ring. He’s very good at what he’s doing. I hope he goes to WWE and I’m biased towards WWE. He’s going to be great, wherever you are.
“Speedball Bailey, that kid is amazing. These two were diamonds for me, to be honest. They were so good.”
Looking at Alexander in more detail, JBL reveals one of the reasons why he wanted to see the previous TNA stars in WWE.
“For me, Josh Alexander is one of the best. He is one of the best wrestlers in the world.
“I mean, as long as you can put the match together, he can do absolutely anything, he… I was blown away by that guy.
“I wish he would go to WWE, because I am a little more biased.
In December 2024, Alexander revealed that there was a rumble of appearing in WWE, but nothing happened from there.
JBL made his TNA debut with the advent of August 2024, appearing after Nic Nemeth defeated Josh Alexander to maintain the World Heavyweight Championship.
