Wrestler contract status is a favorite topic that wrestling fans discuss. And why aren’t they? After all, it’s fun to fantasize about the next storyline or rivalry of your favorite wrestler in another promotion. Over the past few years, many WWE wrestlers have jumped on the boat and given fans many dream matches. Some of these wrestlers eventually return to work, while others decide to settle in their new home.
WWE In the last few months, many wrestlers have signed new contracts. Some of them were already part of the company, while others have returned from various promotions.
Gunther

In an interview with Ariel Helwani in April, Gunther revealed that he had recently renewed his WWE contract. When he was the champion, Gunther had more leverage during contract negotiations and he received some perks for his new contract. These include his own tour bus (and there are also other top wrestlers in WWE) and his personal locker room.
Gunther has been one of the most dominant stars in WWE from day one. He recently lost his world title in a WrestleMania 41 match against Jay Uso. Nevertheless, Gunther’s history as a champion was incredible. He is a WWE champion with over 1,700 days total, including governing his NXT UK, InterContinental and WWE Championship.

Rusev was one of the stars who left WWE after AEW began. But this was not his decision – he was fired. For many years, Rusev has been extremely unhappy with WWE. Because how did they handle certain things, including his shoulder injuries in 2017, when no one checked him. Later, during the pandemic, Rusev was unsatisfied with how WWE handled the entire situation with wrestlers and expressed his concern.
Rusev recently started out from AEW after a five-year stint with the company. At the beginning of April, Pwinsider reported that he had signed a new contract with WWE. There was speculation that Rusev could be Randy Orton’s Wrestlemania opponent. Rusev returned to Raw after Wrestle Mania and attacked Alpha Academy. Fans are looking forward to seeing what the Rusev spell will turn out in WWE this time.
Becky Lynch

This should not be surprising to anyone considering Becky Lynch is one of the biggest female superstars WWE has today. Lynch’s contract with the company expired in June last year, shortly after losing the woman’s title for Liv Morgan in a live episode.
There was some speculation surrounding her career. Some thought she could finally start working in Hollywood after leaving wrestling. However, she appeared at a media event last December to promote Raw’s debut on Netflix, and according to this year’s Fightful Report, Lynch actually signed a new deal with WWE. A few days before Wrestlemania 41, Lynch said he wasn’t ready to go back anytime soon, but fans were surprised when he tagged Bailey on his behalf during the show, tagging him with Lyra Valkyrie and besides Bailey, winning the Women’s Tag Team Championship. They lost the belt in just 24 hours and Lynch turned the heel against Lyla after the loss.
Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens is currently dealing with neck injuries, resulting in missing the WrestleMania 41. Until last year, there were questions about his future in wrestling. His last deal expired in late 2024, and according to Fightur, Owens signed a five-year contract with the company earlier this year, with the wrestler himself checking the contract status in a Twitter post. His deal begins at Royal Rumble 2025 and is set to expire in 2030 unless WWE is extended due to current injuries.
