You don’t need a 20/20 vision to make sure Aew’s Anthony Bowens was raised in a home full of sports fans. For one, the baseball reference, Bowens’ moniker “Five Tool Player,” appears to be a dead prize. But then there is Bowens’ father, Sandy. Sandy seems to attract people’s attention every few years, and he still does.

On Sunday, Bowens retweeted a barstool sports video about hockey fans filming hockey fights on tape in the ’80s. The video focuses on Bowens’ father, revealing that he edits and tapes a hockey fight from his New Jersey home. Additional footage shows Sandy Bowens watching a hockey fight with a group of his friends, lamenting the decline in fights in the sport at the time.

“Dad is going viral,” Bowens tweeted.

As mentioned before, this is not the first time Sandy Bowens’ love for the battle of hockey has become a story. In February 2022, footage of the same newscast was posted to X, urging Bowens to confirm in the clip that he was his father’s father’s father’s father’s passion for hockey fights was just as strong as it was decades ago. Bowens also posted a full news clip of the story, which can still be found on YouTube.

While his father is back in the news, Bowens is about to make his own waves in the AEW single scene. “Five Tool Player” is back in the AEW Dynasty. So he made it clear that he was trying to win AEW Singles Gold by decisively defeating former acclaimed tag team partner Max Caster.
