CM Punk has opened about adding a “new coat of paint” to its recent WWE storyline, including the reign of Rome.
Their pass only went ahead of the WWE Survivor Series: Wargames, with Paul Heyman folding the CM Punk together with Rome Reign, Usos and Sami Zain to defeat the pedigree (Solo Sicor, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Roa), and Bronson took it.
Paul Heyman was supported by CM Punk, with his best friend, saw the main event WrestleMania 41, but the night rule and punk didn’t work.
In a recent interview with Deadline, Punk was asked about “Leaning Heavy” in the governing horn in a triple threat match featuring Seth Rollins.
When asked if it was an intentional plan, CM Punk opens about Roman rule being on top in his absence, saying:
“I think it’s something people haven’t seen much. They saw me and Seth, they saw Rome and Seth.
“He was on the top since I left, so a part of me wanted to show him. “Yeah, you’re on the top, because I wasn’t here.”
Punk argued at the hands of Paul Heyman at WrestleMania 41, promising that a receipt would come for the reign of Rome with his ex-best friend.
Punk left WWE in 2014, and his profile moved to the Alumni section that July, effectively resigning to a professional wrestler.
His run at AEW began in August 2021, ran to his firing in September 2023, and WWE took place in November 2023 with the Survivor Series: Wargames.
