Seth Rollins appears to be solidifying his heels Monday night, brutalized by Bron Breakker in the “WWE Raw” main event after Zayn refuses to stop from Rollins’ new faction.
Rollins opened “Raw” with newly aligned Paul Heyman and Blakeker, but faced Zayn. After Zayn questioned how Rollins, who works with Heyman, would be different from when CM Punk and Roman Reigns did that, Rollins offered Zayn a favor by saying they could arrange for him to go to “Smackdown.” In the behind the scenes segment, Heyman tried to appeal to Zayn while Blakeker was listening at the doorway, informing him that Zayn will also be given a guaranteed WWE Championship match.
In the penultimate segment of the show, Zayn came out to give Rollins the answer, but tore him instead. Zayn declared that he would become a world champion, but “it’s not from anyone’s benefit. It’s because I did it my way. I did it the right way.” Zayn said, “This tells you to go to hell” while he admired and loved Rollins as a friend.
Breakker’s music was a hit, and there was an improvisation match in the main event. Zayn had a strong fight, but after Breakker leveled him with a spear, Rollins attempted to “make a deal” with Zayn. Zayn tells Rollins to go to hell again. When medical personnel checked Zayn after Breakker struck the third spear, Breakker ran around the ring to deliver the fourth. The match was cancelled, but Rollins attacked his former friend with a curb stomping as “Live” aired.
