Brock Lesnarthe Beast’s incarnation has been missing from WWE since his match against Cody Rhodes in Summerslam 2023. What was Lesnar doing? Now it’s not as if Lesnar is a weekly staple on WWE TV and fans are missing him. Since returning to the 2010s, Lesnar has been used primarily as a well-known part-time star attraction in WWE. He disappeared for months at a time and came back for big shows like WrestleMania.
But many things have changed since his last match. Janel Grant filed lawsuits against WWE, Vince McMahon and John Laurinite. Brock Lesnar’s indirect mention appears to have led to a hiatus from the company. There have been some discussions that Lesnar will eventually return, but it is unlikely that fans will see him soon, as he is officially mentioned in the lawsuit.
Brock Lesnar passed the torch to Cody Rhodes at Summer Slam 2023
This was their third match of feud.
- Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes first wrestled with each other in the backlash 2023, when the latter won.
- Lesnar evened his scores on Champions night.
- The final match of their trilogy ended with Rhodes’ victory at Summer Slam.
Brock Lesnar’s final match took place at Summerslam 2023, where he faced Cody Rhodes. The American nightmare won the match, and then Lesnar raised his hand to hand over the torch. Wrestling Observer Radio reported that Lesnar had not taken a major break from WWE and could return to Fastlane, but that didn’t happen.
Rumors of his return have reappeared around the 2024 Royal Rumble, but just a few days before the show, Grant filed a sex trafficking lawsuit, with the company replacing Lesnar in a men’s royal rumble match with the Bron Breaker. There have been reports that WWE is planning to book a Lesnar vs Gunther 40, but that never happened.
Brock Lesnar is still mentioned on WWE TV
- WWE has removed Brock Lesnar from TV Intros.
- Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins promoted Lesnar’s name.
- Paul Hayman spoke about Bullock in his Hall of Fame speech.
Brock Lesnar was not mentioned directly in the lawsuit, but he was called “a world-renowned athlete and former UFC heavyweight champion.” Due to the nature of Grant’s allegations, it was understandable that WWE would maintain a distance from those involved in the lawsuit, including Lesnar. WWE removed Lesnar from the 2K24 game and cover, but the intro does not seem to have his return door closed forever, given that it is directly and indirectly mentioned in both WWE programming by stars such as Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
Paul Heyman, former on-screen manager and real-life friend of Brock Lesnar, also dropped him in his 2024 Hall of Fame speech, but he wasn’t bothered by it, and WWE was fine with that. Triple H commented on Lesnar’s status at a press conference after the WrestleMania 40 show, saying he “has not left WWE.”
Brock Lesnar has made some public appearances since leaving WWE
Brock Lesnar is usually very personal.
- Lesnar went to a concert with his wife, former WWE Starsable.
- He was discovered in rodeo and comedy shows.
- Brock Lesnar does not conduct WWE TV or interviews.
It’s no surprise that Lesnar is a very personal individual. He likes to get into the spotlight, but he’s still a celebrity so whenever he’s having fun, there are almost always fans who recognize him. Lesnar doesn’t always say no to photos, and these images turn into news headlines.
For example, in late 2024, Lesnar attended a Michelle Wright concert with his wife Sable. Then, in early 2025, he attended a rodeo event, and weeks later, he was discovered in April at Adam Ray’s comedy show. He posed for the photo with the performer. More recently, he posed with Jake Noder. Fearing xl naked. Brock Lesnar has not competed in or interviewed WWE, but Janel Grant’s lawsuit has not stopped him from appearing in public either.
