WWE RAW (4/28/2025)
The show opens with Seth Rollins, Bron Blakeker and Paul Heyman. Rollins says they see the future of this industry, and the future is passing through Seth’s “Freakkin” Rollins! Sami Zayn will be in. After some polite words, Sami Zain tells him this thing he has here as a friend is loud and crap. How is he different from CM Punk and Roman rule? Does he have a backup like they do?
Sami thinks maybe he doesn’t really hate them, he was jealous of their success and wanted to be in their position. How convenient is it for the future to revolve around Seth Rollins? Zayn calls his vision hypocritical. Rollins tells him that this thing he has here is a vision for the future and that he will either stand with them or he will be the target.
This is not a threat, but he is clearly not going to shop, so they can cash him out and negotiate a deal to go to Smackdown. Think about it before he does anything, but they will need the answer by the end of the night.
#1. Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez – Winner: No contest After Julia’s interference
Iyo Sky hastily save to the ring. After doing well for a while, she ultimately struggles with the numbers game, but then Rhea Ripley shows up to scare Perez and Giulia.
I am pleased that Judgment Day will be perfect again. JD McDonagh thought Liv Morgan would let Finn Balor know that there will be a tag match with The War Raiders tonight. Balor appreciates the idea, but he reminds them to keep him in the loop.
During the break, Grayson Waller lets Nick Aldis know he’s asked for an opportunity, but only for his own singles match. Austin theory is clearly unhappy to hear that.
Logan Paul speaks in the ring. He calls people stupid for not knowing what a true legend looks like. No real legends look like Jay Lies either. After seven days of thought, he has done everything in this industry except to win a world title. He sends a warning to Jey Uso… he answers the phone immediately.
Jey Uso tells Logan Paul that he hasn’t tried for more than 15 years to hand over the title over to YouTubers. If he wants this, he has to come and get it. Logan tells him he’s going to take it and Jay says he’ll do what he always does. Crash, ruin, lose titles faster than you lose your IC title. Have fun with it while you’re still… and Jay Super kicks Logan in the face. Yet!
On the new day, I will be at the commentary table for my next match.
#2. War Raiders vs. Judgment Day JD McDonna and Finbarol – Winner: War Raiders With Penta’s assistance
Behind the scenes, Paul Heyman continues to persuade Sami Zain to jump to Smackdown, or at least consider joining them. He has a decision.
Becky Lynch is here to explain why she attacked Lyla Valkyria. But before that, she admits that she was the one who attacked Bailey before WrestleMania. She’s been mad at her fans for not liking everything Bailey has done to her since 2019. She always crys to be a big star, but when Becky Lynch walks down the ramp at WrestleMania, she can see what the bigger stars look like.
As for Lyra Valkyria, she had high hopes. Becky tutored and tried to save her from the bitch. She would never have won those titles at Bailey, but fortunately Becky got there… Laila Valkyria comes in. She informs her that many of the women behind the scenes have warned her about the relentless nature of Becky Lynch. Lyla knows exactly what she is… the fantasy of Becky Lynch, and she makes her pay for what she did.
Does she think about when she lost her NXT title in her final match? Becky Lynch has no interest in wrestling here in Kansas. Valkyria challenges her to an IC title match in the backlash. Becky makes it better and makes her a problem… Lila says no and cuts off her. She is a better wrestler and makes her pay. They fight, but Becky can’t handle it and retreat. As Lyra walks back, Lynch returns and becomes a cheap shot.
In the vignette, Rusev says he returned to Bulgaria to correct himself. And now he’s back, he will make effective use of his abilities. He corrects everyone who wastes talent like him. They’re all notifying you. They will be redeemed.
#3. Ivy Nile (W/ Chad Gable) vs. Stephanie Vaquer – Winner: Stephanie Varker
There is an interaction between Nick Aldis, AJ Styles, and The Decustion Day. Liv Morgan is permitted on vacation to film films in Hollywood. Dominique Mysterio asks for a break, as he is the champion and can do what he wants. Aldis says you should expect to double your workload right now.
Dominic question whether AJ Styles is looking for a retirement home, so AJ suggests he is looking for a slap in the face. Liv Morgan quickly kicks Dominik out of there. AJ wants opportunities, and Aldis is already thinking the same thing.
Pat McAfee cuts motivational speeches about his life and how he wants to be remembered. He also looks over at Michael Cole and vows to protect his boy from idiots like Gunther. If he has problems with Cole, Pat has problems with him. Nick Aldis goes out as he calls out Adam Pierce despite not being here. Pat is hoping he lifts up the Gunther suspension and books the match as soon as possible. Aldis has already spoken with Pierce about this and they can’t lift the suspension right now. But all they can do is schedule a Pat McAfee and Gunther match for a backlash. Pat accepts immediately.
Behind the scenes, Jay Uso tells Sami Zain about what’s going on tonight. After Zayn leaves, Logan Paul blinds Jey and leaves him.
They get a short word on Iyo Sky and are asked why she helped Rhea Ripley sooner. The champion said it was because she helped her last week, so that was right. Ripley shows up to tell her she doesn’t need her help… but Iyo really thinks she did. Rhea thanked the assist.
