Another WWE star may soon take a break for a movie role.
Half of Liv Morgan, the current women’s tag team champion, told General Manager Nick Aldis at Raw this week that he would need to take time off to film “A Big Hollywood Movie” from WWE Programming.
Insiders are hyping up still-unknown film projects, saying it’s important to turn people’s heads when it’s revealed. Though it’s not a superhero movie, the project is said to be backed by an honorable studio that includes famous acting names.
Now, a new report from Pwinsider offers a similar update on Drew McIntyre, saying that the Scottish Warrior is “lined up in major film roles.”
“For months, I’ve heard that McIntyre has also been represented by the Paradigm and recently announced as a new face for Project Rock, but he may be the next WWE talent to infiltrate large-scale film and television productions.”
The passing of WWE talent into the world of acting is not a new phenomenon, as wrestlers have a long history of appearing in film and television shows, but few have successfully made a complete transition.
AEW salary increases have recently increased wrestling talent exploring possibilities outside the industry as talent was forced to allow the freedom to take the time they need.
CM Punk recently explained how his other relationships are burned into his WWE contract.
There are no solid details in either Drew McIntyre or Liv Morgan’s films at the time, so it’s hard to say how long they won’t take action once the project starts filming.
