On May 25th, AEW will announce its seventh edition of its double or note pay-per-view. As the first official pay-per-view to be promoted in 2019, does it hold a special place in AEW history?
Over the years, the event has offered multiple classic matches. Nothing is more memorable than that inauguration show Cody vs Dustin Rhodes.
So far, only the finals of the Owen Hart Tournament have been officially announced – Will Osprey vs. Adam Page, and Mercedes Monet vs. Jamie Hater.
However, there are several other potential matchups that can one day be considered a company classic, based on the current story.
5. FTR vs Daniel Garcia & Cope
FTR’s recent heel turns have seen them return to their roots.
In the dynasty, they blindly dealt with longtime friends and former trio partners.
They didn’t stop there as they turned on another former ally of Daniel Garcia, attacked the legendary Rock and Roll Express and delivered a spiked pile driver to Ricky Morton.
There’s a match with a hate-filled tag where Double or nothing is likely, as both Cope and Garcia definitely want revenge.
