Free agents are believed to be set to join AEW following the recent expiration of their contract after WWE reportedly “turned eye.”
Stardom’s Thekla finished the company last week at the All-Star Grand Queen Doom event. She defeated Sayaka Clara before being “dismissed” by President Okada.
The Kla firing was used as a way to end time in the promotion. Her agreement had expired and her agreement was set to effectively head to the United States.
In her future updates from Fightful Select (subscription required), when WWE sources were asked about TheKla, Fightful was told that she was “looking at this point,” among the other talents she named in Japan when Julia signed.
It also reportedly has had a great interest from AEW towards the end of 2024, adding to many independent companies asking fightful if she has booked upcoming appointments.
People within AEW spoke to her to believe she was heading to the company.
Before joining WWE, TheKla was part of the Mafia Bela tag team while working on Stardom alongside Julia.
