The AEW stars returned to the ring after a long break.

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw new Trios champions Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs compete in a six-man tag match. Their opponents were Rhett Titus & Myles Hawkins and Nick Comoroto, who was back.

Comorot has not taken action since August last year. The 34-year-old announced at the time that he had undergone hip resurfacing surgery, revealing that he had been wrestling on one leg for almost two years.

However, the returning star lost the match after Powhouse Hobbs pinned Myles Hawkins for a victory with a spinebuster.

Trained by QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes, Nick Comoroto made his wrestling debut in 2013. He made a short WWE run in 2019 after being signed to the development agreement, but Comoroto became one of the names released during the 2020 pandemic budget cuts.

The wrestling star then made his AEW debut later that year. Nick made his ROH debut in 2023 and was a regular promotion before his injury.

The Death Rider appeared to attack the trio champions after Comorotto’s tonight match. The attack announced regulations for the upcoming Samoa Joe vs. John Moxley title match.
