TheKla officially ended Stardom in Japan after more than three years. WWE has been looking at her for years, but new reports suggest that she may be heading in a different direction.
According to Fightful Select, TheKla’s Stardom contract has expired and she is now tied to the US with plans that have been moving for quite some time. WWE’s interest has been strong, but sources within AEW believe TheKla is heading his own path instead, especially as the company is actively scouting international stars after Giulia’s signature.
“The people we spoke to believe she’s heading for the company.” The report noted. This is a big twist, taking into account the long pursuit of WWE. Dave Meltzer said before Wrestling Observer Radio, “WWE has been following her for years and years.” He pointed out that Iyo Sky rose as a possible motivation for TheKla. “Iyo was doing very well and probably encouraged her to go.”
But that may not be the case anymore. Despite growing interest in AEW throughout the end of 2024, TheKla has not confirmed where she will go next. The independent promotion reportedly contacted them to check availability of the booking.
Thekla previously teased the transition to the American scene in an interview in November 2024 Grapsody’s Reg of Justice and Phil Lindsey. “Of course, yeah. I don’t know why I’m not there yet.” She said. “Across the companies, there are a lot of girls and women who want to wrestletter in America.”
With WWE, AEW and Indies all played, the next chapter in The Kla is set to have an impact, but the idea of debuting in AEW has gained serious traction.
The Kla’s future in the US wrestling scene is rapidly intensifying, with WWE’s interest still alive and insiders expect her arrival, so all eyes are turning to where the Austrian stars will land next.
