Mayu Iwatani features marigolds and signs after the Stardom exit

One of Stardom’s most iconic stars has found a new home. The announcement came at a press conference on Thursday morning just days after an emotional exit from stardom.

Marigold confirmed that Iwatani will make his debut at Corakuen Hall on May 4th. This will be her first match since she dropped the IWGP Women’s Championship to Syuri at All Star Grand Queen Dome 2025 April 27th.

At a press conference following the event, Iwatani surprised fans. “I’m going to run away from home.” She told reporters. She added that while she left the company where she helped build, she hoped that she would go next and continue to support her wherever she goes.

During today’s Marigold Presser, Iwata explained her decision further. She said she felt she had “I did everything I had to do at Stardom.” And it’s time to pursue new challenges. Her main goal at Marigold is to become a Grand Slam champion by winning all the championships in the promotion.
