Natalya has always been a celebrity thanks to her WWE career, but that was even more clear when she was part of the Total Diva. In fact, it appears that Natalia almost quit WWE after falling for the fake Jason Momoa Call.
While talking about Nikki and Bree’s podcast, Natalia says she unleashed Jason Momoa after an incident in which she was fooled by someone pretending to be him. She explained how disappointed she was when she learned that it wasn’t actually a real actor. Bret Hart was unconsciously involved in the confusion.
Natalia reveals that someone named Jason Momoa, whom he thought was an actor, texted her saying that she called him. Brett doesn’t know who Jason is, and Natalia Googles him and isn’t entirely sure until she realizes he’s a big star.
“I unleashed Jason Momoa after the whole incident with fake Jason Momoa. It wasn’t even real. Do you know how sad it was when it turned out not true? Bret-Bret Hart, you know, he was my uncle. Brett didn’t even know if Jason Momoa was texting me, and I didn’t know who he was either.
Later, while Bret Hart and the film crew were having breakfast, he says Jason Momoa wants to call her and asks if he can give him her number. Natalia was excited because she knew Jason Momoa. Aquaman And I thought it was amazing to be in one of his films. She even considered leaving WWE for a chance.
“So you guys have breakfast with the crew and everything in the movie, downstairs, and Brett said, “He wants to call you. Can I give him your number?” And I said, “Well, s***, he’s called Aquaman in this movie – yes, absolutely, give him my number!” And he is like, “Jason Momoa wants you to be in one of his films.” I said, “Oh my god, this is crazy.
Natalya talks over the phone for an hour with the fake Jason Momoa and is totally certain he is the real thing. Everyone around her wanted to hear from him too, and when he finally called, they all realized that something was wrong because it was a scam.
Despite not being an actress, the way the impersonator spoke made everything unbelievable and he sounded like a real Jason Momoa. Bret Hart had given him her number, so Natalia sent a message to her uncle once she realized it and he told him that it wasn’t who he was.
Bret Hart apologized, but Natalia couldn’t believe she had spoken to the 90-minute fake and was ready to let WWE know that she was leaving for a movie role.
“Anyway, I called with this fake Jason Momoa for an hour. We all remembered wanting to hear from him.
And I was like, “But I don’t even know how to act, I’m not an actress…but maybe?” But the man said that to you – we were all like, “Oh, yeah, yes!” That makes sense. The pitch was amazing. I believed in every word. He sounded like Jason Momoa. He had a Jason-like voice. And Brett is the one who gave him my number.
And once he found out he was a fake, he texted Brett. I was like, “Brett, that guy isn’t the real Jason Momoa.” He was like, “Oh, it’s okay, sorry.” I was saying, “I just gave 90 minutes of my life on the phone.” I was about to call WWE and said, “Hey, let’s do a movie now!”
This shows that even WWE superstars can be tricked out occasionally because they are all human at the end of the day. Anyway, we need to see if Natalya actually ends up acting with Jason Momoa, or at least get a big laugh about this whole incident with him.
