Last Monday, “WWE Raw” general manager Adam Pearce was absent from Red Brand and took over the evening duties in the lead over “WWE Smackdown” general manager Nick Aldis. Prior to the show, the 46-year-old announced that he would lose “live” at X due to “docs” but did not provide details about his health. Additionally, Pierce also revealed that Gunther was suspended after attacking “raw” color commentator Pat McAfee the previous week, but the Red Brand GM also responded to a specific group of wrestling fans after the announcement. On Thursday morning, Pierce went to social media and laughed at comments on the internet wrestling community and recent products.
“I can’t believe he said it wasn’t real. We want to believe it!” “I can’t believe he said it was stopped. They think we’re stupid?!” “Mom is screaming from upstairs. Your hot pocket is ready. I love someone today.”

Despite “The Ring General” being suspended, in just 10 days he will compete in single action against McAfee. The former NFL kicker cuts an emotional promotion with “Raw,” where he calls out Aldis and asks him to lift the Gunther suspension. “Smackdown” GM explained that both Pierce and himself believe that removing the suspension was inadequate, but he proposed an alternative option for McAfee, offering the opportunity to play Gunther in a licensed match in the backlash. McAfee is instantly accepting and preparing to compete in his first WWE singles match since 2023.
