An update has been revealed about the possibility that the WWE Star will be stripped of the championship ahead of his future absence.
As announced earlier this week, Liv Morgan is a bit off WWE TV as he is cast in Neon Productions’ bad-for-nothing Li: Tokyo Movie.
The project was filmed in Japan and is believed to have already traveled there.
Morgan is currently half the WWE women’s tag team champion alongside Raquel Rodriguez, opening up the question of whether Morgan, or both, could strip the belt if Morgan sets up for a long time.
Pwinsider Elite reports that this is not a plan and will remain the champion in Morgan’s absence.
Morgan is expected to return to OM WWE TV “in a month,” if not earlier.
Morgan and Rodriguez are currently four-time women’s tag team champions, and Rodriguez is five-time champions after winning the title alongside Aliya previously. Rodriguez also hosted the now-deprecated NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, alongside Dakota Kai.
Morgan and Rodriguez dropped the WWE Women’s Tag Team title at WRETLEMANIA to Becky Lynch and Laila Valkyria, but won with Raw the following night.
