Alex Kane has not signed a contract with Major League Wrestling. As of today, May 1st, the former MLW World Heavyweight Champion has officially hit free agency and is opening up the next move wide.
According to Fightful SelectKane’s deal with MLW has expired today, but there was no confirmation as to whether consultations have been made for the expansion. MLW has not commented on this situation.
Kane has been one of MLW’s top stars since joining the promotion in the summer of 2021. He quickly rose to the ranks, winning both the national openweight title and the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. His victory over Hammerstone made him the only wrestler to win the company’s top title in over four years.
He also led the Bomaye Fight Club with his run and became the centre of MLW programming. Known for his explosive in-ring style and strong presence, Kane has built a solid reputation as one of the most valuable homemade stars in the promotion.
Speculation runs wild as his contract goes up. Whether it’s a return to MLW, or a jump to AEW, WWE or somewhere else, Kane’s next move could have serious consequences.
