The AEW version of the World Championships was first won by Chris Jericho, founded in 2019.

To date, nine have held the title.

Current title holder John Moxley is currently in his fourth reign and will defend the championship against former champion Samoa Joe in the Steel Cage match on May 14th.

Below is a prediction for the next five AEW World Heavyweight Champions along with other challengers already waiting on the wings.

5. Hangman Adam Page

AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page

In Dynamite this week, Hangman Adam Page defeated Kyle Fletcher in the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

This victory secured him in the final against Will Osprey on May 25th, with AEW’s double or nothing pay-per-view.

If Hangman defeats Ospreay in PPV, he proceeds to challenge Jon Moxley on Aew’s biggest show.

With everything being held in Texas, for the Cowboy, the ultimate hero in the eyes of AEW’s fanbase, is he better off to end Moxley’s horror reign and win the second AEW World Championship?
