WWE received several releases this weekend, allowing almost dozens of performers to go from NXT and the main roster. Among the cuts were Brown Strowman, Dakota Kai, Shuzizi, Shayna Baszler and Kora Jade. Currently and active WWE talents are responding to the release.

Some of the talent released have already commented on social media, but many performers still place emphasis on WWE. She writes: “She’s a very sweet, strong, kind, clever, and wonderful woman. My beloved best friend. She has a non-competitive clause that prohibits her from appearing in another promotion for 90 days, but Dakotaka Kai has already gained interest from outside companies and top agents in pro wrestling after its release from WWE. There are reports that Kai receives lots of offers.
Matt Cardona, former WWE star and husband of Chelsea Green, said, “There are three options for the recently released ones: 1) It’s going to be ambiguous 2) Coast apart from the WWE name 3) The WWE name 3) Remove your ass, reinvent yourself, make lots of money, and have lots of fun!
While referring to the release, Naomi shot Jade Cargill. She wrote, “If I had been releasing, I would have had everyone and just released @jade_cargill.” Some fans have suggested this tastes bad, but it will come with Naomi’s new heel persona.
Shotzi’s status in WWE is unknown
Interesting Update: Reports show that Shotzi has moved to the Alumni section of the WWE website. Her profile still lists “NXT”. And as of yesterday, “people hadn’t heard of her departure. I was following up with WWE,” reported Shaun Ross Sapp, a militant reporter yesterday.
Shotzi wasn’t one of the first lists of WWE releases, but it was revealed that something could be happening and that other talents were cut on Saturday, so fans should check if she’s in it.
