According to Pwinsider, TNA officials today informed the locker room that excessive blood and blades would not be allowed by the promotion. The dict order became official earlier today at today’s talent conference.
It has been pointed out that it is understandable that in the case of hard blood or something like a bloody nose or mouth, blood is permitted and sometimes blood can be the result of contact within the ring, but purposeful heavy blood plates are a thing of the past of promotion.
This decision was made not only to protect the health of talent, but to keep current and potential advertisers and partners in mind.
The final match (for now) featuring excessive blood from the promotion will be a dog collar match between TNA International champions Steve McLin and Eric Young.
