According to a report from Pwinsider, Drew McIntyre will not appear on the show on tonight’s episode of Smackdown on Friday night. This absence comes just a week after McIntyre was featured in a prominent angle in the April 25th edition of SmackDown.
He interacted with La Knight, American champions Jacob Fatu and Damian Priest. The segment led many fans to believe that the Scottish warrior might be in a US title photo coming out of WrestleMania.
Previous reports show that McIntyre is expected to ultimately receive a push towards the world title scene, but there was no clear indication that that outbreak is imminent.
