Aew’s Shelton Benjamin explains why he chose not to use a real mother in the WWE angle

Former WWE star Shelton Benjamin discussed the storyline involving WWE’s and his on-screen mother, and why he didn’t ask his real mother to be part of the angle.

Benjamin recently appeared on former WWE star Maven’s YouTube channel. There, the duo discussed some of Benjamin’s most memorable moments in WWE. One of the moments they reviewed was when Benjamin’s mother, played by a Hollywood actor, appeared in the locker room and warned him. Benjamin explained why his mother didn’t want to be involved in the angle.

“no [that wasn’t my mother]. But Vince [McMahon] He actually asked me, “Do you want to use your real mom on this?” and my response, “Hell no.” [I rejected it because] I don’t want to be on the road with my mom, but even more importantly, you know how our locker room looks like a particular individual, and I even throw Randy [Orton] He was what I was worried about, so there’s a name. ”

Benjamin replied negatively when Maven asked if he was one of those worried. He added what would happen if someone in the locker room made a lightly parody comment about his mother.

“Randy is a bit… older Randy was a problem. He and others like that, if I brought a real mom, then if everyone says something about lying to my mom, my real mom, I’d be fired and someone would compromise,” Benjamin said. “It’s a burnt earth. You won’t ruin my mama.”

Aew Star revealed that his real mother loved the way actress Thea Vidale portrayed her and did well when the two met each other.
