AJ Style X accounts hacked via SIM swap, due to AT&T security breaches

WWE Superstar AJ Styles publicly dealt with recent fraudulent activity on his X (formerly Twitter) account, confirming that his account has been compromised through a SIM swap attack.

In a video shared on Instagram, Styles explained that he lost access to his account after the phone’s SIM card was stolen, allowing hackers to bypass two-factor authentication.

He found fraudulent posts via his wife’s phone because he couldn’t access his account. Style indicates that this violation may include unauthorized access via mobile carrier AT&T.

The incident became clear when users realized that Styles’ X account had begun posting racist content. Shortly afterwards, the hackers identified themselves through their accounts. The offensive posts have since been deleted, and Style is actively working to regain control of his account.

The event highlights the risks associated with SIM swap scams in which attackers manipulate mobile carriers to control victim phone numbers, thereby accessing two-factor authentication-protected accounts.
