AAA has been acquired by WWE, and the latter influence is immediately felt in the promotion of Lucha Libre. Following the news of WWE’s trading, in the first episode of AAA, Rey Mysterio launched the show with an exciting video package. Among other big stars related to footage and promotions of his own time at the AAA, Mysterio declared that “the future will fly here.”
Rey Mysterio didn’t appear directly at the AAA events, but that may come soon. It has been reported that the WWE Hall of Fame will return to the AAA for connections with WWE. In addition to Rey, other AAA alums are currently rumoured about potential returns under WWE deals such as Rey Fenix, Penta and Dragon Lee.
