WWE’s official acquisition of Mexican Rucha Libre Promotion AAA is considered a groundbreaking business move that is expected to quickly change the face of the industry. However, it appears that WWE plans to increase its investment in Mexico other than AAA.
According to records from popular Mexican outlets, AAA is not the only one investing within Mexico. It was reported that WWE plans to expand further within the country, perhaps by purchasing or building properties such as arenas, performance centres, new leagues, teams or other business-related ventures.
Please note that this transaction was made in partnership with Mexican sports and entertainment company Fillip. If everything goes as planned, you will need to finalize your transaction by the third quarter of 2025 after completing all normal legal and business procedures.
That’s not the only reason, as WWE previously reported that it plans to maintain only a handful of AAA talent after swapping its current contract. In fact, AAA employees are worried about rumors of a massive layoff after the WWE acquisition.
WWE, who earns an AAA, is just the beginning of a major change in Mexican wrestling. With the possible new facilities and changes in how AAA talent is managed, fans can expect more changes in the coming months.
