Many talents released by WWE in February 2025 are becoming free agents as the 90-day non-competitive clause ends on May 8th. This opens up many possibilities for the next move in the world of wrestling.

This wave of newly available wrestlers includes several established names and former champions. Some people whose non-competitive clauses have expired can appear and sign on other promotions: Cedric Alexander, former WWE women’s tag team champion Isla Dawn, Sonya Devil, Blair Davenport, former NXT UK tag team champion Giovanni Vinci and Electre Lopez.

The author of former Raw Tag team champion Pain (Akam and Rezar), is now free to explore new opportunities. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows (Good Brothers) already have immediate plans.

They are scheduled to compete at the Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling event this Saturday (May 10, 2025) in Canada. Additionally, his return to New Japan’s pro wrestling for the duo was heavily teased at an NJPW event in California on Friday, May 9th. The availability of these diverse talents is set to create interesting times with independent scenes and other major promotions.
