Stokely Hathaway lost his last name and appears to be featured as “Stokely” in the AEW conflict

Aew’s Stokely Hathaway, who recently returned to AEW TV, will only go on his name, Stokely on the AEW show.

Hathaway announced on April 23, 2025 that he returned to AEW with the version of “AEW Dynamite” and is the new manager of FTR. In the promotion he cut, he introduced himself using the name Stokely Hathaway, but was later changed to Stokely on the Aew roster page. FTR was active in the latest “AEW Collision.” There he faced and defeated Paragon in three Falls matches.

According to the report, the idea for Stokely to team up with the FTR was pitched almost a year ago, but it was placed on the back burner before AEW decided to take part in the pairing. Stokeley was last considered Chris Stallander’s manager, ending last October after the latter became babyface. The former WWE star stayed on the sidelines until his return to “Dynamite” last month.

The partnership with FTR, who recently turned heels after betraying Cope, appears to be a match played in heaven as Stokely established himself as AEW’s top heel manager when he paired with Statlander.

On his first night as an FTR “agent,” Stokely went into business and confirmed that he “cut off” the suspension against the duo and was reimbursed for a fine he was attacked in COPE in last month’s dynasty pay-per-view. With Stokely representing them, FTR will be able to climb into the AEW Tag Team Division and win the AEW Tag Team title that it has not held since October 2023.
