The first Jey USO WWE World Heavyweight Title Defense ends via raw commercial punk interference

Jey Uso’s defense of the World Heavyweight Championship fell into chaos as he shuts down “WWE Raw.”

The show began with the World Heavyweight Champion a week after he was laid out for Backlash Challenger Logan Paul, but he was soon suspended by Paul Heyman to set a title match for the main event. Heyman furiously defended his decision to betray Rome’s rule and CM Punk, and challenged the USO on betrayal of Seth Rollins and defeated them in the main event of WrestleMania 41, so he justified that he should be considered a number one candidate. USO agreed to the match and was told they could choose a time and place, and chose to do it later on the show.

USO and Rollins effectively served both deadlock on all landings on their Arsenal, while two spears, two USO splashes and numerous superkicks could not hold back the Challenger. Bron Blakeker intervened for Rollins, stumbling on the ropes for “visionary,” and Sami Zain appeared to even try USO’s odds to hit the Superplex Falcon Arrow combo. Breakker eventually kicks Zayn out of the equation, urging USO to check on his friend and to receive the spear when Heyman is distracted by the judge.

Rollins looked to win the match when USO was whipped into the ring, but before making the count, CM Punk ran to the ring in a steel chair. Punk fought both Rollins and Blakeker against the chair when the match was abandoned, allowing USO to technically hold the title.
