Two matches were revealed at WWE NXT Battleground on May 25th. Milesborn heads for NXT Battleground. This week’s WWE NXT episode provided a significant development for this event.
This includes Milesborde, who will emerge as a historic announcement of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship match as the new #1 contender for the NXT Championship. Myles Borne outperformed the other 24 competitors in the chaotic battle royale to gain future opportunities against NXT champion Oba Femi.
The match featured a loaded field, including TNA wrestling talent like Elijah (formerly Elias), as well as the talent of WWE’s Evolve brand alongside the NXT star. Bolde secured his victory by eliminating both Sean Spears and Ethan Page at the same time after Page threw the spear to the top.
Early in the Battle Royale, TNA World Champion Joe Hendry felt his presence by deflecting Trick Williams, leading to Williams being eliminated by Elijah. Later on the air, NXT general manager Ava officially announced that he would defend the TRA World Heavyweight Title against TRA World Williams on the NXT Battleground on May 25th.
The match marks the first time the TNA World Championships have been defended at a WWE Premium Live event, highlighting the growing relationship between the promotions.
